Nduja Butter Smashed Jersey Royals by Hannah Hall


– 30g Nduja

– 45g Butter

– 2 – 3 tbsp olive oil

– 1 bag of Jersey Royals

– Salt & pepper



  1. Coat your Jersey Royals in olive oil, salt & pepper and bake in a preheated oven for 45 mins at 180, turning occasionally.
  2. Meanwhile, fry your nduja for a couple of mins on a medium heat, then mix into your butter and pop in the fridge to chill while your potatoes roast.
  3. After the 45mins, squash each Jersey Royal with a fork gently then return to the oven for a further 20 mins.
  4. After the 20 mins is up, top your potatoes with a small spoonful of the chilled nduja butter and pop back in the oven for 5 mins – serve immediately!


If you don’t like it too spicy, serve with sour cream to cool slightly!
