Jersey Royal farmers named Ambassadors of the Year at Pride of Jersey Awards

Jersey Royal farmers Christine and Didier Hellio have been named Ambassadors of the Year at the 2019 Pride of Jersey Awards.

The Awards took place at Le Manoir de Rooster in Trinity and are a celebration of the leading figures in the Island’s community.

Nominated by John Garton of Genuine Jersey, Christine and Didier won the award for their tireless promotion of Jersey, both on and off the island. They have been growing Jersey Royals for almost 30 years on their farm based in St Ouen and demonstrate a constant enthusiasm, despite the hard work which comes with the territory of farming.

Christine and Didier are passionate about the island and farming, and are always keen to participate in Jersey Royal initiatives, attending the 2019 dinner at Anglo where they spoke to journalists about their work.

Congratulations to Christine and Didier!
